Tutor Guardian Cell
Over the years, the College has evolved a very strong mechanism for student support and mentoring called the ‘Tutor-Guardian Cell’. Each faculty member is assigned a group of 30 students for the entire academic session. The tutor-guardian thus becomes the mentor/facilitator for the students of her/his group. The Mentor Guardian Program operates to facilitate the dialogue between teachers, their respective student-wards and parents.
Functions:
- To organize meetings of students/parents with the assigned faculty member at regular intervals to facilitate interaction amongst them.
- To disseminate information regarding college programs and facilities.
- To create a comfortable environment for students to enable them to freely share their problems with the mentor.
- After each meeting, the Tutor-Guardians submit their report to the committee. The report includes suggestions/attendance of the students.
