- To ensure planned development of quality technical education and research in the state to fulfill the needs of the industries, business and community.
- To develop policies for student’s admission, human resource development, management of institution and research in technical education and to ensure proper implementation.
- To develop expert groups in selected technical fields for providing advice to the state government for policy development.
- To facilitate the development of partners between industry and institutions for human resource development and sharing of resources and information.
